If you fancy a challenging walk whilst in the vicinity of Chiang Mai/Pai in Northern Thailand, or even if you just a spectacular view worthy of a “throw-your-hands-up-in-the air, back-to-the-camera, I-am-master-of-the-wilderness” style photograph then take a trip to Pai canyon.
Words of advice…
Don’t go in the midday heat, and don’t wear flip-flops!
A little further down the road you can find the war time bridge (WWII memorial bridge) in memorial of the original bridge of that site, built by the occupying Japanese forces.
You’ll also find these intriguing fellow on the road side…

Hiya! Is it possible to walk here from Pai bus station? Love your blog! x
Thanks! If you’re happy doing very long walks then it might be possible from the bus station, but it would be much better to drive there on a scooter etc
