Valhalla – Pai, Thailand

A short drive down a mostly dirt track and across a narrow bamboo bridge is a hippie treehouse haven known as Valhalla.

You can sleep there in tents and sit around a campfire in the evening, and during the day pop in to chill in a hammock with a smoothie or a cheeky afternoon drink.

It’s the perfect hideaway from the busy tourist traps on the Pai walking street.

Unfortunately, it may look a little different these days due to being reconstructed following a fire, but I can’t imagine that would erase the chilled vibes from the friendly staff nor ruin the relaxing view over the river.
